Cone Beam Computed Tomography

Cone beam CT is a tomographic scanning technology that can scan and acquire a specified volume of the patient head and generate a 3D data set at much lower radiation doses than their medical CT counterparts. In effect, Cone Beam CT represents the latest generation in medical imaging scanning machines ascending from conventional x-ray to panoramic and cephalometric x-ray to medical spiral CT. It provides numerous advantages over the other imaging modalities in favor for its accuracy, speed and safety. Above all, its an economical and cost effective system that can supplant to a huge extent the existing modalities to be the standard of health care.

Beirut Dental Specialists Clinic is one of the few dental practices to provide an in-office cone beam CT. Most practices have to send their patients to an outside imaging center. This equipment defines “state of the art”. Our cone beam CT, operated by our expertly trained staff, offers maximum convenience, safety and precision. These 3D films of the jaws and the surrounding structures may, in some instances, allow us to detect potential problematic lesions of the head and neck.
Piezoelectric Surgery

Piezoelectric surgery is a minimally invasive technique that lessens the risk of damage to surrounding soft tissues and important structures such as nerves, vessels, and mucosa. It also reduces damage to bone cells and permits its good survival of during harvesting of bone. Ultrasonic vibration produced by this special surgical instrument is used to achieve unparalleled precision and patient comfort.
Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF)

PRF is in the form of a platelet gel and can be used in conjunction with bone grafts, which offers several advantages including promoting wound healing, bone growth and maturation, graft stabilization, wound sealing and hemostasis, and improving the handling properties of graft materials. PRF can also be used as a membrane. Clinical trials suggest that the combination of bone grafts and growth factors contained in PRF may be suitable to enhance bone density.

Diode Laser

Our latest laser technology of Diode Laser performs a wide range of soft-tissue surgical, periodontal, endodontic, and whitening procedures in a minimally invasive way.

Because there is no cutting or stitching involved, recovery time is significantly diminished. There is also decreased sensitivity and a reduced risk of infection. Most patients require no pain medication and can return to work immediately.
Dental Microscope

Our dental microscope combines excellent optics with functional elegance and state-of-the-art technology, such as LED illumination and high-definition documentation. Dental procedures can be performed more accurately and more reliably using variable and adjustable magnifications and shadow-free light.

It is extremely useful in many areas of general dentistry, including endodontics, reconstructive periodontal plastic surgery, periodontal surgery, restorative dentistry, and oral surgery.

We find our microscope also highly beneficial during cosmetic procedures where slight changes can have a dramatic impact on the overall outcome.
